April 3...10:02...Hallelujah !!! The web site is fixed and running normally.
I started this morning when we got up and had it done by 2:30 this afternoon when Danny came for the art class. All the HTML files are now downloaded to a chippie and stored safely away. If I experience another crash. I can download in 2 minutes and be back up and running in 5 minutes.
By the way…..the burnt eggs made excellent egg salad sandwiches!
Vicki is in seventh heaven tonight. She got her iPhone this evening when we went to the Catskill AT&T phone store. She is playing with it right now. It is one awesome little piece of merchandise I must admit.
I am cooking my eggs to make the pickled eggs I attempted to do this morning. I have already cooked them and removed them from the heat, so now they are cooling so I can peel them. In another ½ hour, I’ll be putting them into the beet brine to pickle. Whoopee!
It is now 11:20 PM....do you know where your honey is? Mine's making and cooking egg rolls!! Yep... at 11:20... she's making & cooking egg rolls. Look below.
Got the oil hot enough?
Everyone that makes and cooks egg rolls at 11:20 PM, also has the Catskill Life and AARP magazine handy too.
Hunting for the ol' elusive tongs, now where are they...hum... aaah..................SKIP?
Lifting those little golden brown buggers... Let's eat!
Not quite better
Hoping today would be a better day. Not yet. Skip's knee is still hurting but not as bad as last night. We both slept until 7:30am when Casey woke us up. I took her down to go out and left Skip stay in bed. He got up at 11:30am and went down to make coffee. I told him to wake me in a half hour. Well, he forgot and I awoke to the smoke alarm. Skip was going to make pickled eggs like he used to have back home in PA. We bought eggs because our eggs are to fresh to hard boil. 1 1/2 dozen and guess what, he forgot they were on the stove and burnt the eggs. He actually burnt the shells and the eggs turned out yellow. What a mess. That was the start of the day. He redid the website and is down loading it now. The day will improve if that works ok. I still have the business of returning my phone to get a new one. We'll do that tonight after art class. Still not in a painting kinda mood. We will have egg salad for lunch, was able to salvage some of the eggs to use as egg salad. I'll add a little mustard you'll never know the eggs are a little off color. Running late gotta go cook lunch. Let you know how the art and phone return goes.
A little off color
what a mess
He's still smiling.
Casey was pissed at me and put my slipper in her water bowl
So far not a Cluckin' Good Day

not having a good day
Today has been one of the worst days we have had in quite some time. The web site is a mess. Skip has been at it for hours. We worked on the brooding house in the freezing cold and my hands froze and Skip's knees are shot, don't know what he did. Went to Catskill for lumber and stopped off at AT&T for a new phone. Got the same phone as I had because I knew had to work it. It looks the same but they made many changes and I hate it. It is the motorola razr, my old one which was only 6 months old went bad, they replaced it and it was still not right so they let me upgrade. I really hate this phone and I'm going back tomorrow to get them to make it work right. Poor Skip is still on the web site. On top of all that Casey who was just about house trained, peed in the house 3 times today. It's like she totally forgot her training since yesterday at the vet. I am not in a good mood at all. Mud season sucks, with 5 dogs running around in the yard they bring in the mud, it dries on the carpet and there's dust everywhere. I dusted one week ago and look at the furniture (see below) I gave in and decided to dust and vacuum again today. The only thing that's not giving us trouble today are the turtles. I think we need to go to bed, Skip is moaning and I am really pissy as you can tell from this entry. Tomorrow is art day and I hope things go better cause as of right now I don't feel like painting anything. Good night and let's hope for a better tomorrow.
Shelves for the chicks
creeks are muddy from all the rain. Took
picture on the way to Catskill.
He actually smiled for me.
unbelievable water flow
The pellet stove
Who's writing on my furniture?
I'm going to take some prilosec, put a heating pad on Skip's knees and go to bed.
The Joke Continues.....Day 2...Please be Patient
April 2... A little cool out there, but beautiful!!! I started on this bugger again this morning and have figured it out. When I lost images, I replaced them with the same images from another page and they already had Meta Tags (like a road map) and when my HTML converted, it made multiple tags that were alike, but different pictures. ANYWAY....A mess. Vick will Blog here later this morning as I rebuild the web Site with new content. It needed it anyway.
We are only going to maintain videos between posts and if a new one is added, an old one will be removed. They are massive to store and updates take forever.
Again, SORRY, but stay tuned for Vicki

April 1st… What A Lousy April Fools Joke!!
It is now 10:37 and I finally got the web site repaired and working almost perfectly again. I don’t know what happened but I started at my usual 6:00 AM this morning and when I brought everything up I got a message that the web site had lost a bunch of the images and would not display correctly. Well it wasn't joshing…. everything that wasn't missing was garbled enough that you could not use the site as some of you probably found out. SORRY….
HTML....I HATE IT!!!!
It is now fixed and running as close to normal as I could get it. These are massive programs and unless you’ve worked with HTML and had the distinct pleasure of using dynamic HTML which is a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document — by denoting certain text as links, headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on — and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML is written in the form of tags, surrounded by angle brackets. HTML can also describe, to some degree, the appearance and semantics of a document, and can include embedded scripting language code (such as JavaScript) which can affect the behavior of Web browsers and other HTML processors. When these tags and code are jumbled, the browser places things where they should not be.
End of HTML lesson
.Anyway, We are now ready to Blog!!!!! This afternoon, I had to stop so we could take Casey to the Vet. Below are some of the neat pictures Vick took.
Dr. Halsted has a beautiful new facility on route 81 going toward Coxsackie.
Little Ham!
Knows how to solicit pity.
Really turned the soliciting up full tilt!
Ah-Ha!! Works like a charm!
All caught up on the shots now. From pity to this...Bummer!
Also, we went to the brooding house after we got back and finished half of the top shelf on one side. SO, now one side is done and ready for birds. We should be back to normal now. I HOPE!!
our site crashed
Skip has been working on the cluckin'A site since 6am. Not sure what got in and we're hoping we can get it back. Some spyware has been getting into our computers even with all the anti spyware that we have. It would have been a perfect day to finish the brooding house since the rain has stopped for a few hours. Casey Mae has a vets appointment today at 1.30pm. She's doing great. She hasn't messed the house in 3 days. She is a puppy with attitude, yell at her at she mopes, won't even look at you. She is stubborn as can be, when I feed all the dogs she wants to eat from all the other bowls but hers. She likes adult food not puppy. I even tried to out smart her by switching bowls but she won't go for it. If I keep her crated during meal time she refuses to eat in the crate. I have to leave the crate opened and then she'll eat. Two bites and she's off and running to steal food. She is a handful.
A handful even for Snavely Mill
A definite water dog
Stealing a bone
Can't keep her down
Definitely a happy and lucky dog
