Tuesday, August 12th… A better start to the day than yesterday!!

Today, it looks as though there’s a chance of it being a sunny, mild day, even though they are calling for scattered thunder showers later. At least it’s bright and cheery looking, so you can do something other than sit inside looking out at a gloomy, darkened world. Yesterday, you could have drowned a duck, the way the driving rain fell from time to time. We will get ourselves around this morning and head up the road for therapy , as usual, then do whatever needs doing and return to the barn building because we are really close to getting the chickens into their new abode. We need to install the chicken wire across the outside run area, and two little strips inside large enough for a weasel to slip through, but then it will be ok and as safe as we can possibly make it for them. They hang around the new barn already, as if they know they will live there soon.

I’ve just updated the web page this morning, changing the “Proposed Barn” into “The New Barn”, which now fit’s the bill. I have updated several other minor areas by adding new, updated pictures. See if you can find them.

Hopefully, we’ll have some interesting new pictures to add to the blog this evening. Until then, here are about four from this morning when I turned all the critters loose.

She's lookin' pretty darned good I think!

The porch -like section is the outside chicken run. (Still needs chicken wire.)

See? We're all here together on the Cluckin' "A" Critter Farm!

Rooster Cogburn, well and reigning over the entire flock since MR & Stewie are gone.........
