April 15th.. It’s been a beautiful Day on the Cluckin’ “A”.

We had a really good day getting ready for tomorrow when the skid steer arrives at 8:15 or 8:45 in the AM. We spot painted for the barn posts and all the fence posts all the way around the pasture area. It should be a really nice grazing area for two donkeys.

The large timbers should be finished and delivered this coming Sunday, but we are setting posts tomorrow. We have all the posts we need.

Kenny and Katie were here today and helped us, and we had some excitement when MR attacked Katie coming from the Bunnies at the brooding house. She didn’t know, so she ran and he chased and flogged her. He put a spur mark on her one leg, where he dug into her. I have a run in with him about every day and he tries to attack Vicki on a daily basis also. He is such a nasty bird. One day he will go too far and I will rid the farm of him. I cannot have a bird attacking company…. especially when they have little kids.

We also removed the rest of the deck railing and started the expansion project. We are ready to scab the new deck wood to the old and expand it. Here, you can get a better idea of the size the deck will be when it is finished.

The back end of the deck is now off.

Ripped apart and ready for the new expansion.

Here is where it will be when done!

Katie, our niece was thetractor driver and helper today along with our nephew, Kenny.
